Running “Hello” on the EM-1240-LX

To run the Hello program issue the following commands on the EM-1240-LX:

# chmod 755 hello

#./hello

The words “hello world” are printed on the screen.

ATTENTION

Be sure to calculate the amount of Flash Memory used by the User File System in the Flash

ROM. Use one of the following two commands to determine the amount of memory in use:

# df –k or # df

If the flash memory is full, you will no longer be able to save data to the Flash ROM. To free up

some memory, use the console cable to connect to the EM-1240-LX’s serial console terminal,

and then delete files from the Flash ROM.
